Oncology Veterinary Assistant

The Oncology Department at the Hope Advanced Veterinary Center is looking for a Veterinary Assistant with a very specialized set of skills and talents. Our team of techs, assistants, and doctors have created a culture where clients and patients feel safe, all staff members contribute something of value and working together we achieve more.

From checking in drop-off appointments to running in-house lab-work and assisting with specialized procedures like x-rays and biopsies, our roles are diverse and ever-changing. We collaborate closely with specialists at the Hope Center to ensure our patients receive the best care possible. Whether you're handling appointments, records, or providing compassionate patient care, you'll have the chance to learn and grow. · Oncology department: Mon-Fri, no weekends, flexible shifts
· Full-time: 30 hours, full-time benefits
· LVT required for chemotherapy, but not required to restrain for chemotherapy
· Physical ability for floor work and assisting procedures
· Familiarity with medical terminology or willingness to learn
· Strong client communication skills in-person, phone, or email
· Interest in gentle and fear-free restraint, patient happiness
